Acupuncture:
What is acupuncture?
Chinese medicine identifies more than 2,000 acupuncture points connected with pathways called meridians that conduct vital energy or qi (pronounced “chee”) throughout the body. Illness or symptoms are associated with an imbalance of this vital energy. Acupuncture uses hair-thin, disposable needles to stimulate specific areas associated with organ functions in order to restore balance and help the body maintain its own health. Treatments are normally given once a month until the last month, when weekly sessions help prepare for labor. An average session lasts 45 minutes, and women usually only feel a mild sensation such as a feeling of slight heaviness at the site of needle insertion.
Acupuncture and Fertility
One of the most popular natural infertility treatments is the ancient Chinese practice of acupuncture. It is inexpensive compared to infertility treatments such as in vitro fertilization, and is safe, noninvasive, and relatively painless. Studies seem to show a correlation between acupuncture and fertility improvement.
Acupuncture helps to release certain hormones in the brain including endorphins; the “feel good” brain chemicals that help reduce pain, relax the body, and help regulate a woman’s menstrual cycle. Studies have also shown that acupuncture treatments can help improve sperm quality in men that have unexplained infertility.
Acupuncture works better for couples experiencing infertility due to a functional problem, such as irregular ovulation, than a structural problem, such as blocked sperm ducts. A series of one-half-hour to one-hour treatments, once or twice a week for several weeks or months seems to be effective in improving fertility. Acupuncture also seems to substantially increase the success of other infertility treatments, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Herbal Therapy:
Herbal Therapy and Fertility
The use of herbal remedies for infertility is an ancient practice that dates back to 200 AD. Fertility herbs are made from roots, leaves, bark, fruits, and flowers, and come in tablet, pill, granule, or tea form.
Fertility herbs are believed to have a positive effect on the hormonal system, reproductive organs, and sex drive. They seem to work best for fertility problems due to infrequent or irregular menstrual periods in women or for hormonal imbalances in men and women.

Hypnotherapy:
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is not an artificial condition imposed upon a subject; it is already a normal part of our day, occurring in those moments when we find ourselves spacing out, daydreaming, or highly focused to the point that we lose track of our surroundings. In these states, the subconscious mind becomes more receptive to suggestions and ideas, providing an opening in which learning occurs. This is the way to make positive changes.
A person cannot be hypnotized against his/her will. All Hypnosis is Self-Hypnosis. The individual is in total control of thoughts and feelings. The Hypnotherapist is only a facilitator who guides the client in exploring his/her own inner world to identify and utilize the resources available for achievement of goals, healing and personal growth.
With the use of Hypnosis and NLP, the client can replace limiting behaviors and beliefs with new attitudes and actions to stimulate a new and healthier approach to life's challenges.
Hypnotherapy and Fertility
Fertility Hypnotherapy is an effective and safe alternative to enhance the results of medical treatments. It will complement assisted reproductive techniques such as Donor egg transfer, Frozen embryo transfer, IVF, etc. Israeli study proves hypnosis can double IVF success rate (click for more information)
Working together, the Hypnotherapist assists the couple in identifying and processing emotional blocks that could be interfering with conception. This will allow nature to take its course, increasing the likelihood of a successful fertility treatment cycle. Through Hypnosis and NLP protocols, the couple learns to reduce stress and to elevate their confidence level, regaining a sense of control, which in turn allows them to maximize the chances of conceiving naturally or improving the success of medical procedures. Therapy sessions are tailored for each client, addressing the family needs. Renee offers consultation and sessions to couples in their own home within the Los Angeles area.
